This Buffalo, NY image was personally photographed and digitally edited by myself.
Originally built by the Kreiner Malt Company in 1900, Kriener held on until 1971. When it went out of business, the complex was purchased by the Buffalo Malting Corporation who held on for another 11 years. But by the early 1980s, it was abandoned. Now, the statuesque building is no longer crumbling from years of neglect- it has a new life as the Silos at Elk Street, a mixed-use building with office space, residential space, and brewery.
